Alliance To Design Transco Compressor Station

Wood Group’s Alliance Engineering has been awarded a contract for the engineering and design of an additional electric motor-driven compressor and associated equipment at Transco’s Station 125 in Monroe, GA.

The work is associated with Williams Partners’ Transco Mid-South Expansion Project, the first phase of which is scheduled to be placed into service in the fall of 2012.

The design for Station 125 includes a Dresser compressor, driven by a Siemens electric motor. Alliance’s contract also includes procurement support services. Alliance expects to complete the engineering and design in the fall of 2011.

The Mid-South Pipeline Expansion is being developed to be constructed in two phases: 95,000 Dth would be placed into service in the fall of 2012 and 130,000 Dth placed into service in August 2013.
